When there were rumours here at Dakeryn that our president, Rob Chimko, was running with the bulls, it was thought he merely had bought into the hype around fibre scarcity and what that implied for lumber market forecasts. But no, in truth, we’ve learned he was exposing himself to risks almost as great it seems, with confirmation that he would be in Pamplona, Spain, for the annual, famed Running of the Bulls.
With CBC news reports today of injuries, we naturally were concerned about Rob’s safety. Based on early reports, we have reason to believe our leader effectively hedged against the havoc that stampeding bulls in any circumstance can inflict, by ensuring his Pamplona participation was confined to a front row seat in a balcony at least 10 feet above the stampede. Olé!
