It was suggested that Dakeryn’s contribution to St. Patrick Day celebrations this year might revolve around volunteering to ship only green lumber against orders this week. The idea was over-ruled with a suggestion that, instead, I ride a sawhorse in the Vancouver St Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday. The parade is a culmination of Vancouver’s eight-day Celtic Fest, and is expected to attract 350,000 spectators, with 2,000 participants. Meanwhile, curbside participation looks like a preferred location, from whence to send St. Paddy’s Day wishes and a lumberman’s Irish blessing: “May the wooden roof above us never fall in, and may we friends never fall out.”
