Some folks in nearby Washington State may be calling for background checks for bulldozer operators after a neighborly dispute escalated into dozer rage in which two homes were demolished. Apparently motivated by a long-running property-line dispute, 51-year-old logging contractor Barry Swiegle is being held on suspicion of “malicious mischief in the first degree”. While the result could see a doubling of new home starts in Port Angeles this year, a trend reversal in lumber futures was not immediately evident at presstime.
Wonder if he threw his monitor?
