Further to Tuesday’s post, in the blink of an eye and in the dark of night, China pulled the trigger. By yesterday morning, the futures market was up limit and the cash market had life.

  •  The Organizing Committee for the 2013 NAWLA Regional Meeting in Vancouver is pleased to announce that Don Demens, President, Western Forest Products Inc., and Mark Kennedy, Executive Director, Forest Products Research at CIBC World Markets, will speak at the Vancouver Club April 11th. Rumor has it someone at the forefront of the B.C. political scene will complete the line-up of speakers. When pressed, Organizing Committee Chair Bart Bender of Ainsworth would only confirm this will be an event to highlight on your calendar.
  • Bob Simpson, MLA Cariboo North, was on CKNW last night to expand upon this Issue Alert posted at his website. In the interview, Bob clearly explained many of the concerns raised by Ben Parfitt’s op-ed (see Liberal License). A podcast is available at the CKNW Audio Vault here (see Jan 31 – 5:35pm).
