An early glimpse at the list of registrants for the upcoming B.C. Wholesale Lumber Association’s Lumberman of the Year Roast reveals legendary Forester Mike Apsey will be in attendance.  I still clearly recall a most entertaining roast back in 1992, when Mike was honored as the BCWLA Lumberman of the Year.  Perhaps I’ll ask Mike to sign my copy of his page-turner What’s All This Got to Do With the Price of 2×4’s, covered in a previous post here.
A reminder this year’s roast honors Joe Heath of West Fraser next Thursday, June 14th at The Vancouver Club.  BCWLA President Carl Dobler confirms refreshments will be available at 5:00 pm, head table and distinguished guests will be escorted in at 6:35 pm, and the call of order will begin at 6:40 sharp.
