Now that “the new normal” is on the 2012 list of banned words and phrases, analysts are scrambling to redefine what we can expect to see in financial markets this year.  At least one fund manager is preparing for the paranormal – telling us a paranormal market occurs when “the fat-left-tailed possibility of unforeseen – delevering – or the fat-right-tailed possibility of central bank inflationary expansion” exists.  Talk about a wild animal.  Whatever unfolds, we do know the projected ride for investors won’t be considered “amazing,” since that word is also banned, having received more nominations than any other word or phrase on the list.
