Vancouver is 125 years old today! A street party is planned, which will include a re-lighting of the Olympic Cauldron.
I found this at vancouver.ca:
“In this early 1900 street film, Seattle movie-maker, William Harbeck, mounted a camera on the front of a B.C. Electric Railway tram and filmed the journey along Granville and Hastings, along Westminster Avenue (now Main Street), Carrall, Powell, Cordova, Cambie, Robson and Davie . . . a fascinating look at a Vancouver of a century ago set to very quirky music!”
